The WonderArc ruler allows you to cut template-free
circles from fabric squares using a rotary cutter. Circle sizes are 3”, 3½”, 4”,
4½”, 5”, 5½”, 6” 6½”, 7”, 7½”, 8”, and 8½”.
Easily Cut Circles from Squares:
First
determine the size of circle. Squares will be cut the same size as desired
circle. Example: a 5” circle will be cut from a 5” square of fabric.
1) Cut squares:
2) Fold squares in half. Press with an iron.
Fold in half again. Press again.
3) Line up folded edges of squares with solid
lines (Fig. 1) for whole circles.
Using
a 28mm rotary cutter and mat, hug the inside edge of the arc as the
rotary cutter begins to cut. Cut slowly until the curve becomes familiar. (Fig. 1)
The dashed lines are used for adding seam allowances
to rectangles or other shapes. See your pattern or the website for further instructions.
Be
Aware of Sharp Edges, Not Recommended for Children
Be
responsible when handling the ruler. The WonderArc and Big Arc rulers will bend
and break under pressure when placed on/in an uneven surface. WonderArc Designs
is not responsible for breakage.
